DESCRIPTION:
Socket set screws from YPH Fasteners are used in applications which require a strong holding power through compression. They are used in building shaft collars, exit doors, knobs, and crash bars. They must be tightened enough to hold the compressed position without snapping due to the applied torque. The axial holding power of the screw can be increased by tightening it more. There are several styles in which these screws can be used.
Depending on the machining requirement, they are used in the assembly of permanent and semi-permanent part assemblies. These screws get the tighten and hold ability from the specially engineered cone shaped point which allows it to penetrate the part deeply. If it is used in a flat point design, they can bear wear and tear without compromising on its structural integrity. To eliminate structural damage and still allow frequent changes to be made, you can use these screws in an oval style. It is available in stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloy steel to bear more wear and tear while also making it more corrosion resistant.
